]]>I'm so thrilled to be featured in this two page spread in Art Seen magazine. Wow! Very exciting. I'm so appreciative to the Curator's Salon for including me in their beautiful publication. Thank you!
]]>My week at the Artist Project was great. It really felt like pre-pandemic days. The crowds were out and enjoying themselves. I really had a good time. Thank you to everyone who visited and made a purchase. I appreciated the feedback on my new work. I'm so thrill to announce that I was juried into the 2024 show as well.

This was a nice Christmas gift. I just received the latest issue of Uppercase Magazine in the mail and one of my paintings was included. Thank you Uppercase Magazine I’m so grateful. I love this magazine so much!! This is issue is about music. Personally music affects my art quite a bit. I NEED music to not only get me in the mood to paint, but also to sustain me for long painting sessions. One of my Spotify top 5 listened to artists this year was Chaka Khan, which didn’t surprise me at all because when I feel like belting out a song in the studio, she’s one of my go-to artists. Anyway, “Hello Happiness” is a song of hers that I love and influenced this painting.
]]>Two things you don’t see often... me in a dress and my elusive daughter who prefers not to be on my social media 😄😄. We had the privilege of being in the May 2021 issue @chatelainemag in a fashion section devoted to mothers and daughters. To say I love this kid is an understatement. We are the best possible team and being able to do this with her was the most wonderful Mother’s Day gift ever.
Thank you to all the lovely people at Chatelaine who made this such a great experience and for giving us a memory we’ll have forever 🙏

I just did my first outdoor show (the Riverdale ArtWalk) is finished and I have to say, I really enjoyed the whole experience. What a well run show this is. The Artist Network folks do such a good job. I went to the orientation to learn the ins and outs of outdoor logistics and that was so beneficial. Loading and unloading was smooth, they even provided over night storage for us and catered lunches that were so good. The volunteers were super helpful too. Meeting artists and chatting is always great. I always learn from you guys. There was crazy wind but the rain held up and it was beautiful weather. It was great to meet so many of you who follow me on Instagram. Apologies... sometimes I remember people by their insta name rather than real name 😬. I appreciate everyone who stopped by, especially the kids. I love how little kids always bee line for my booth because they love the colours. It’s so cute! Thank you everyone for your great feedback. Everyone said that my paintings and colours make them happy. I heard that over and over. I can’t think of anything better than that 😃😃😃 I hope to see you at some of the other shows I have this year. That’s 1 show done, 6 more to go for 2019. Next weekend is the Rosedale Art Fair. No rest for this lady 🙋🏻♀️
]]>I’m in my first gallery!!!!! 🤗 The wonderful Jodi from Blue Crow Gallery has a bunch of my pieces now and I managed not to cry as I dropped them off. This is honestly such an important moment for me. I’ll be 49 soon and this is my first ever experience having my art in a gallery. I’ve been working hard this past two years to get to a point where I even had the guts to approach a gallery. I’ve been hesitant for all sorts of reasons, but now I’m here damnit and I’ve earned it. This is a milestone I won’t ever forget. Thank you Jodi and the Blue Crow Gallery for giving me a chance. I am unbelievably grateful (oh damn, now I’m crying) 😭😭 If you can, please stop by Blue Crow Gallery and take a look. 1610 Gerrard Street East, Toronto ON. Tel: 647-427-2400

I really love being at the One of a Kind Show. I love being surrounded by so many creative people who put their soul into what they make. There's something so special about the feeling I get when I'm there. It's my happy place.
]]>The spring show was great. I brought a lot of new work and everyone snapped up most of the pieces. I love hearing your feedback in person and getting ideas for what to work on next.
You guys were awesome with just coming by to say hello and even bringing me snacks :)
Here are some pics from Spring OOAK 2019.

My booth set up turned out great. I thought it was impactful and displayed my work nicely. I received so many great compliments and seeing the smiles as people walked by was amazing. "Your art makes me happy" was the number one comment I hear over and over.

So for the winter show I was much more prepared. I worked for months prior to get enough pieces ready and boy was it worth it. I sold about 80% of the work that I brought. I'm so grateful to everyone who came down to visit me, made a purchase and even just stopped to comment.
The top comments I received were "Your work is so happy", "I love your colours" and "Your booth is so comforting". Wow! This was so great to hear. To be able to make people happy nowadays is the greatest accomplishment I could have.
The other artists in the area around my booth were sooooo fun to hang out with. They really made the 11 days go by better. I learned so much from them and I'm grateful they shared their expertise with me. As a newbee, I went into the show with a lot of questions and they were so accommodating.
I'll be back at the Spring One of a Kind Show from March 27 to 31, 2019. I hope you'll come by :)
