I could tell you about my 20 years as a graphic designer, or my time at OCADU studying Environmental Design, or maybe my years at the Claude Watson School for the Arts. Perhaps it’s fun to know that I started painting again at age 47 and by 50 I had transformed my career into becoming a full time artist and alter my life’s course. But here’s all that matters...
Art is good for my soul. I need it. I need to paint. I have to create.
I enjoy the solitude, the release, the happiness and the renewal of energy that it brings me. I need the beautiful colours, the textures and the satisfaction of creating something out of nothing. The finished piece is all of this experience brought to life.
My goal is to uplift viewers by giving them a piece of this experience. We all just want to feel good, even just for a moment.
